My name is Manuel G. Avendano. I am a self taught artist, and have been involved since my childhood in a number of different forms of fine art painting, including portraits, murals, and live event painting.
I was born in 1970 in San Luis R.C. Sonora, México. Now I am a resident of San Diego CA, after lived in several southern small and main Mexican cities like Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo.
Those years spent in the provinces have influenced the style and colors of my work, as well as the study of all time masters like Vermeer, Goya and Velazquez.
In 2006 I was commissioned to paint the portrait of Mexican President Vicente Fox, followed by the painting of other prominent Mexican personalities like Presiden Felipe Calderon, Governor of Tabasco Roberto Madrazo and entrepreneur Carlos Slim. |
